Never Dull Productions has a long-standing commitment to the subject of disability -- within the entertainment industry, the world of sports (including six Paralympic Games around the globe) and in society as a whole.  

As a result, the company established its EDGY SPORTS division to develop disabled/adaptive sports-related projects. Plans are to establish a sister division within the arts and entertainment arenas.

Our goal is to go outside the boundaries of typical athletic competition to bring a different kind of sports entertainment into the mix.

Most sports fans do not even know what the Paralympics are, let alone experienced an elite disabled sporting event. We plan to change that. 

In 2014, Never Dull Productions established the Edgy Sports YouTube Channel, a portal to display some of the disabled sports video footage we have captured over the years. Video content will be added on an ongoing basis.

Ultimately, Edgy Sports would like to align with a broadcast outlet in a sports news setting to expand viewership.

ADAPTIVE ACTION SPORTS at the X GAMES

Adaptive Action Sports sponsored a skateboard clinic and competition for disabled athletes at the X Games.

THE LA MARATHON

Some of the world’s best wheelchair racers were caught in action at the LA Marathon. Interviews and racing footage was used in a segment of ParalympicSport.TV’s ParaEmotion videomagazine

(www.paralympicsport.tv).

THE USOC PARALYMPIC TRACK AND FIELD TRIALS

The Never Dull partners traveled to Tempe, Arizona to capture trial footage and interviews with America’s top track and field athletes, including many who would go on to represent the US at the Beijing Games.

THE TORINO GAMES

The company shot exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes images for the International Paralympic Committee at the Torino Paralympics. This footage is available through the organization -- www.paralympic.org.

“SLED SHOTS(sledshots.net) -  This feature-length story of the 2002 United States Paralympic Sled Hockey Team and its quest for the gold medal at the Salt Lake Games. It  is presently being shopped in both the domestic and international broadcast marketplace.  

ESPN SUMMER X GAMES - The X Games served as the background to shoot exhibition highlights and interviews with some of the country’s top skateboarders and motorcross competitors with disabilities.

BT PARALYMPIC WORLD CUP - A BBC-produced one-hour special that aired on ESPNU.

ADAPTIVE ACTION SPORTS SKATEBOARD COMPETITION - An Adaptive Action Sports skateboard clinic and competition held at the X-Games in Los Angeles, hosted by Paralympian and AAS co-founder Amy Purdy.

US NATION JUNIOR SLED HOCKEY TEAM - The inaugural trials to create a U.S. junior hockey team.

AHIHA - An annual week-long summer hockey camp,  hosted byNHL alum Stan Mikita, established to instruct deaf and hearing-impaired children in the nuances of hockey. This camp also serves as the trials for the U.S. Deaflympics team that goes on to compete internationally.

The company has published two stories on the subject of disability - the first for BackStage West magazine on actors and stunt people with disabilities; and the second on arena accessibility for both athletes and fans for Amusement Business magazine

THE BT Paralympics

World Cup Promo

This is a promo for the U.S. debut of the BT Paralympic World Cup Games. Never Dull Productions brought the BBC produced one hour special to U.S. television audiences on ESPNU. It was the only Paralympic programming to air during the  2008 Paralympic summer games.

NEVER DULL PRODUCTIONS EDGY SPORTS’ EFFORTS INCLUDE:

The A&E SPECIAL - THE PARALYMPIC GAMES - This series, hosted by Harry Smith and Joan Lunden, incorporated Never Dull footage extensively within the broadcast.

The company’s footage has also appeared on CBS, A&E, CNN, ESPN, WNET, Prime Sports, several international outlets and has been used by the United States Olympic Committee and the Canadian Paralympic Committee to promote their athletes with disabilities.

VSA ART & SOUL FESTIVAL - Never Dull was hired by the Kennedy Center affiliate VSA to shoot the performances and interview the artists for this event, hosted by Anthony Edwards and Marlee Matlin. The four-day festival drew musicians, singers, dancers, comedians, performers, painters and sculptors with disabilities from around the world.

SUMMER & WINTER PARALYMPICS - Never Dull traveled to Nagano, Japan to film the 1998 Winter Paralympic Games for the United States Olympic Committee.  

For the International Paralympic Committee, the company shot footage at the Torino Summer Paralympics, and shot footage under its own banner at both the Lillehammer and the Salt Lake Paralympics.

Never Dull partner Cindy Mulkern served as a field producer for SportSouth, a Turner

Broadcasting division, during its coverage of the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games and

for the USDST at the Barcelona Games.
